Cosmetic Dentistry

At Treetops Dental, your oral health is of utmost importance to us, but we also know how important it is that your teeth look good!

Dental issues like staining, chips, cracks and uneven teeth can cause real damage to your self-esteem, making you cringe at photographs of yourself or hesitate to look in the mirror. Everyone deserves to feel the confidence to smile proudly, and our specialist cosmetic dentists can help give your teeth a new lease of life.

Teeth Whitening

We use our teeth every day without fail, so a few stains here and there are to be expected. Brown or yellow stains can form on even the healthiest teeth after consuming certain foods and drinks, smoking tobacco, or even as you age.

At Treetops, we offer 2 well known and respected whitening treatments which can create a whiter, brighter smile within a few weeks!

Enlighten is a well known and respected product, their materials have been safely and successfully used in dentistry for over 100 years and we are delighted to provide this for our patients.

Enlighten – Our Advanced Option

Enlighten teeth whitening treatment is considered one of the most effective advanced teeth whitening systems available and has been safely and successfully used in dentistry for over 100 years. There is a B1 guarantee for your results which has been evident in 98% of cases. Shade B1 is the whitest naturally occurring shade currently available in the market.

This kit includes desensitising toothpaste, whitening trays, a case, 2 home whitening syringes & 60 minute in chair session with your clinician.

Boutique by night

This is classed as a more “do it yourself” approach to teeth whitening, whilst still under the dentist’s guidance.  Trays are worn whilst you are sleeping and the process usually takes 2-3 weeks to achieve results. This kit includes custom made whitening trays, a case & 4 whitening syringes.

Below are our 3 most frequently asked questions...

Why do my teeth look discoloured?

Teeth naturally yellow with age and to add to this, drinking tea, coffee, smoking and other staining agents can all speed up this process.  Lots of people become extremely self-conscious of this natural discolouration, so be assured you are not alone.  Teeth whitening is the most requested dental procedure for patients between the age of 18-60 years!

How does Teeth Whitening work?

The whitening technique removes the staining agent that has penetrated deep within the tooth leaving you with a whiter, brighter smile which you are happier to share!

Does Teeth Whitening last?

Amazingly, the effects of teeth whitening can last up to 3 years.  However, over time and with the staining agents within our diets the effect can be reduced sooner.  The great news is, you have your bespoke trays and can therefore ‘top’ up at any time! (All you need to do is to contact your clinician to purchase further whitening syringes.)

Be assured, teeth whitening provided by a registered General Dental Clinician is the safest and most cost-effective way of enhancing the appearance of your smile.

Should you wish to arrange your initial consultation, whether it be for our advanced Enlighten Whitening system or Boutique, we would be delighted to arrange this for you

Composite Bonding

There are endless ways for cracks and chips to form; whether it’s eating crunchy foods, drinking certain drinks, teeth grinding, opening bottles with your mouth or playing contact sports – the list goes on! Equally, if you have any large gaps or your teeth are an uneven shape, it can leave you feeling self-conscious.

Composite bonding is an incredibly transformative, non-invasive and cost-effective cosmetic treatment that can turn your teeth from worn and shabby to smooth and symmetrical in as little as an hour.  Bonding uses a tooth-coloured composite resin material to smooth over cracks, chips and discolouration – it can also close gaps and correct the shape of uneven teeth. The composite material is putty-like, making it easy to mould and sculpt in any way necessary.

First, we will roughen the surface of your teeth to ensure the bonding will stick – then we apply the composite resin and shape it carefully over your teeth before hardening it with a UV light.

Invisalign

Invisalign_-_Product_-_Aligners_Case_In_

Invisalign turns everything you know about braces on its head; it is an advanced orthodontic treatment that straightens teeth using multiple sets of near-invisible aligners.

If the thought of visible wires or food stuck in brackets has been putting you off fixing your dental imperfections, this hassle-free alternative could be just the thing for you.

How does Invisalign work? We will fit your custom-made trays, and then the rest is up to you! Invisalign requires much fewer check-in appointments than traditional, fixed braces, although we will need to see you now and again to check that everything is going as planned.  Each set of aligners needs to be worn for at least 22 hours per day, and you will change them every two weeks – as you do so, your teeth will gradually move to the desired position, as outlined in your treatment plan.

As a practice we pride ourselves on quality and as with our Implant System we only invest in the best and it is the same with our Aligner System. Invisalign has changed the smiles of over 10 million patents world wide - it is without doubt, tried and tested! Results are achieved by the patient wearing discreet aligners (virtually invisible trays) over a set period of time, results are usually achieved within 9-18 months. We have also invested in a start of the art digital scanner which will allow me to show you what you would look like after your Invisalign journey.
