“Workers at a dental surgery in South Staffordshire have said they are “proud” to be there for people after they reopened. Dentists across England were allowed to reopen as lockdown restrictions were eased earlier this month. And staff at Treetops Dental Surgery, in Codsall, said they have been excited to see patients again and offer their help. Polly Bhambra, director of the surgery said: We’re very happy – it’s been extremely difficult for all of the team, showing that we have not been able to see and treat our patients as we would have liked. We are proud to be part of the community and to be there for our patients – we have been desperate to reopen our doors. And we want to reassure our patients that although the team in the surgery will look different in their PPE it is still the same team providing the very best care possible.”
“New measures introduced at the surgery includes providing hand sanitiser, facemasks for patients and taking their temperature when they enter the surgery. Patients will spend a minimal amount of time in the practice – besides the treatment rooms – to ensure the area is perfectly clean. A deep clean will also take place regularly to ensure there is no risk of catching the virus at the surgery. Priorities for the practice included organising patient flow, ordering personal protective equipment, communicating with patients and ensure those in most need are seen first.”
