April 2025 newsletter

April’s been blooming brilliant!

April has been a wonderful month here at Treetops, filled with some truly exciting events, new Treetops family members and several awareness dates this month. Including Oral Cancer Awareness, Stress Awareness Month and National Facial Protection Month — all powerful reminders of how oral health is deeply connected to our overall wellbeing.

We also had an incredible response to our Invisalign Open Day with Dr Amandeep Bhamber — a huge thank you to all who joined us!

It was fantastic to see so many of you exploring ways to refresh your smile this spring.

Looking ahead, don’t forget our next Treetops Wellness Clinic is coming up on Saturday 10th May — the perfect chance to practice some self-care and take some well-deserved time out for yourself.

Appointments fill quickly, so be sure to book early!

As always, thank you for being part of our ever-growing Treetops family.

Warmest wishes,

Polly

Director,

Treetops Dental Surgery.

Happy Easter!

We hope everyone enjoyed a joyful and relaxing  Easter break!

Thank you for being part of our wonderful community — we love sharing these special moments with you...

Welcome to the Treetops family...

Treetops’ amazing new general dentist, Charlotte is super intelligent, warm, friendly, kind and gentle – everything you’d want in a dentist and more!

She’s especially brilliant with children, who absolutely adore her calm and caring nature.

And our wonderful new receptionist, Fran, will be the friendly voice you hear on the phone and the warm smile greeting you in the waiting room.

Make sure to say hello next time you visit or give her a call on 01902 842 555 to book your dental or wellness appointment!

We are also delighted to welcome Sammie, our lovely new qualified dental nurse and Dave the Hedgehog to the Treetops family!

With her kind nature, professional attitude and brilliant smile, Sammie has slotted in perfectly – it already feels like she’s been part of the team forever!

Dave has moved into our back garden and we couldn’t be happier to have him around.

He’s not shy and we’ve loved spotting him during late afternoon as he snuffles around

his new home.

Clinician’s Corner: protecting your heart from infective endocarditis

At Treetops, your health and safety is one of our top priorities.

If you have certain heart conditions, there's a small risk that bacteria from your mouth could enter your bloodstream during dental procedures, leading to a rare but serious infection called infective endocarditis.

To ensure your safety, we follow the latest Scottish Dental Clinical Effectiveness Programme (SDCEP) guidelines, which help us assess if you need additional precautions before dental treatment.

If necessary, we may contact your cardiologist to discuss whether antibiotic prophylaxis – a one-time dose of antibiotics before your treatment – is required.

If you have heart conditions, such as a prosthetic heart valve, a history of infective endocarditis or certain congenital heart conditions, you may be at higher risk.

It's important to inform us about any heart-related issues before your appointment, so we can take appropriate steps to protect your health.

We assess your medical history, consult with your cardiologist if needed and plan your dental care accordingly.

Maintaining good oral hygiene and regular check-ups can help reduce your risk.

If you have concerns or questions, please reach out to us.

Your heart health is important, and we're here to support it!

Wolverhampton Young Citizen of the Year Awards 2025

Our amazing practice owner Polly and her wonderful daughter Saachi appeared as special guests on Chris Allen’s show for WCR FM!

They joined the show to chat all about the Rotary Club of Wolverhampton’s Young Citizen of the Year Award 2025 — a cause close to their hearts, especially as Saachi was last year’s award winner!

Well done, Saachi — and big love to Polly for being such a brilliant role model both at home and here at Treetops!

Do you know someone aged 13-25 who has gone the extra mile to help others, their community, fellow students, work colleagues or someone in need?

Nominations are open from 1st March to 31st May.

Let’s blossom into May!

The last day of April was our fourth team meeting of 2025.

We were gifted with beautiful weather and an ice cream van (thank you Polly!), so we took the opportunity to hold our meeting outside in the Treetops garden – it really was lovely!

As a practice, we are proud of the environment we have created where the team can learn and grow together.

We feel very fortunate to have such a positive 'growth mindset' within the team and this makes development possible.

April’s team meeting was a great example of this.

We had productive discussions around areas for improvement and development, we brainstormed solutions and celebrated the team's accomplishments, especially the consistent five-star Google Reviews we have been receiving (thank you to all of our patients, we really do appreciate the time and effort you take to share your Treetops experience).

We are feeling refreshed and ready to embrace May with renewed focus, continuing our commitment to delivering an exceptional patient journey.

Wishing you all a wonderful May ahead. Take care!
