Polly’s September update

September has been a busy and uplifting month at Treetops, full of new beginnings, learning and celebrations.

We’re excited to welcome Dr Charlotte Jones, our new dentist, along with Irmina, our wonderful new dental nurse.

We also marked important awareness days including Know Your Numbers Week, Patient Safety Day and Suicide Prevention Day, each highlighting the importance of health, safety and wellbeing.

Our team took part in the Tri-Dental Training Day and a big thank you to Sid from Oral-B for visiting Treetops. He gifted our new dentists an Oral-B iO toothbrush and shared exclusive vouchers for our patients.

Ask for yours next time you visit and save on a brighter, healthier smile!

On the celebration front, we were delighted to honour Steve’s remarkable 40 years of dedication to Treetops with a special gift from myself, a small token of our appreciation for his hard work over the decades.

And, of course, we’re thrilled to share the exciting news of our latest Denplan winner!

Alongside this, we’ve continued to focus on giving back to our community, supporting Best Foot Forwards and making donations to The Well food bank, helping those

who need it most.

Thank you, as always, for being part of the Treetops family.

We are also welcoming Irmina, our fantastic new dental nurse.

Irmina brings an infectious energy, extensive experience and a genuinely caring approach to every patient interaction.

She works alongside the dentists to make sure each appointment runs smoothly and supporting patients with kindness.

Irmina has quickly settled into the Treetops team and has been a hit with both patients and colleagues alike. Her professionalism and friendly manner help make visits to the practice as comfortable and relaxed as possible.

World Suicide Prevention Day – 10th September

Suicide Prevention Day reminded us of the importance of mental health alongside physical health.

We shared information and support resources with our patients and community, raising awareness that help is always available.

It’s crucial to check in with loved ones and seek support if you or someone you know is struggling.

At Treetops, we are committed to looking after the wellbeing of our patients and our team.

Know Your Numbers Week – 8th - 14th September

During Know Your Numbers Week, we encouraged patients to think about overall health, especially heart health.

At Treetops Wellness Clinic, our Heart Health MOT includes blood pressure checks, key cardiac markers and a standard ECG.

For more detailed monitoring, a Holter ECG tracks your heart rhythms over 24 hours up to 7 days.

All results are analysed by a registered cardiac physiologist, giving you fast, expert insight.

Take charge of your health — call 01902 842 555 or visit our website to book your Heart Health MOT today!

Best Foot Forward

ree

Treetops is thrilled to sponsor the Best Foot Forward Challenge at WV Active

in Aldersley on 28th June 2025.

The community came together to walk, jog or run laps, raising £16,000 for local charities. Huge congratulations to Jamie Bird for completing a record 204 laps!

This year’s beneficiaries included the Wolverhampton MS Therapy Centre, Central Youth Theatre and the Rotary Charitable Trust.

The Well Food Bank

ree

Treetops donated boxes of Colgate Toothpaste to The Well Food Bank, helping to support families across our local area who need a little extra help.

Small contributions can make a huge difference and together, we can help to ensure no one goes without.

Clinician’s Corner: Turkey Teeth - the lowest price can come at the highest cost!

ree

There has been a lot of talk recently about “turkey teeth” where people travel abroad for low cost cosmetic dental treatment.

As a UK-registered dentist, but also having trained overseas, I fully understand why patients could be drawn to the idea of dental treatment at a fraction of the price. However, it's crucial that you are fully aware of the significant risks involved.

UK dentistry must adhere to strict standards and regulations. This includes ongoing professional development, rigorous hygiene protocols, and high-quality material selection.

Many countries popular for dental tourism may not have the same level of regulatory oversight, putting your health at risk.

Sadly many cases completed overseas return to develop painful and often costly complications; reports of excessive drilling, failing implants, crowns and veneers poorly fitted, infections and no follow up aftercare are amongst the most common complaints.

It is important to understand that dentistry is not a one-off service; cosmetic treatment involves comprehensive assessment, meticulous planning, and is typically a multi-stage process, requiring multiple appointments, followed by appropriate aftercare.

Choosing where to receive dental treatment is a personal decision, but I urge patients to view dental care as a long-term investment, not a short-term bargain. Your teeth are not something you can easily replace if treatment goes wrong.

Always do your research, ask questions and weigh the potential risks against the apparent savings.

At Treetops, we want our patients to know that there are safe, high-quality alternatives available right here. From whitening to composite bonding and veneers there are fantastic options to enhance your smile without aggressive drilling or compromising your natural teeth.

Every treatment will be tailored to your unique needs and supported by the reassurance of professional aftercare and UK regulated standards.

Your smile is precious and it deserves the best care. Don't gamble with quick fixes, Cheap dentistry abroad might cost you far more than you bargained for.

40 Years of Steve!

To celebrate Steve’s incredible 40 years at Treetops, we wanted to treat him to something extra special.

As some of you know, Steve is a keen fisherman — so his gift from Polly was an overnight stay in a luxury bungalow at Panshill Leisure, which sleeps five and includes fishing at their famous fishing lakes (home to some seriously massive catfish!)

A well-deserved getaway for someone who has dedicated four decades to supporting our patients and team behind the scenes.

Join us in congratulating Steve on this amazing milestone and wishing him plenty of luck reeling in the big one on his trip!

Skip the wait & start your smile journey!

Thank you for your continued patience during our building works - we truly appreciate your understanding and promise the improvements will be worth the wait.

We are also grateful for your support with our new advance payment policy for treatments.

While we’ve still experienced 24 hours of lost clinical time this month, we remain hopeful that this will continue to improve with your support.

We are delighted to share our limited-time Invisalign offer, available over the coming weeks and months...

If you are ready to achieve the smile you have always wanted - or have teens eager to begin their orthodontic journey without delay - Invisalign could be the ideal solution!

Spaces are limited, so we encourage you to call and reserve your complimentary Invisalign assessment today.

Our Invisalign providers – Dr Amandeep Bhamber, Dr Vis Pather, and Dr Charlotte Monk –are exceptionally skilled and passionate about helping patients achieve smiles they are proud to share - you will be in good hands!

Warm regards

Louise & The Treetops Team
